The owners Luis Almeida, born in Anadia, Portugal and his wife, Angelica Almeida, born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, continue to work together in meeting and exceeding customers' expectations to better serve the growing demands of the community.
At 13 years old, Luis immigrated to New Jersey, where he grew up. After graduating from Drew University, he decided to pursue his passion for entrepreneurship and the food industry by opening up his grocery store, which has now evolved into the Emporium112 Supermarket people know and love.
The meat department of Emporium112 maintains its unique tradition of cutting the meats exactly as specified by each customers' preference. A customer can request their meat cut to any size, thickness or even fat percentage they desire.
